Teresa Giudice Speaks Out About Her Breast Augmentation

Teresa Giudice, from Bravo’s hit series the Real Housewives of New Jersey, is known for being an outgoing, table flipping Italian princess. She also has been getting media attention for her onscreen footage of her Breast Augmentation procedure that she underwent.

The 37-year old told Steppin’ Out magazine that she is “much more confident with my body now,” was an A-cup, and “ after [she] breast fed, they looked different. [She] looked at them and went, Ewwwwww. They were deflated. [She] was just a big nipple.”

Giudice also said that she “never liked how [she] looked in bathing suits. [She] never wanted to put lingerie on.” And she feels that “you need boobs for lingerie.”

Having been married for nine years before the surgery, Giudice says that her husband did not care about her small breasts and he loved her the way she was, but that she got the procedure done for her, is happy and feels “so much sexier.”

And avid watchers of the show will know that the real gems of New Jersey are her spoiled, sassy, but adorably cute, four young daughters, Gia, 9, Gabriella, 5, Milania, 4, and Adriana, less than a year old. Giudice says that if her daughters want the procedure when they are older, she will fully support them.

Now that her procedure has settled she is showing off her new breast, in typical Teresa fashion: loud and proud.

HollywoodLife.com Thinks Megan Fox Went Overboard on the Injectables

Recently, Dr. Walden weighed in on Megan Fox's apparent injectable procedures, here is the article from HollywoodLife.com:

Megan- you’re just 24- do you have a Heidi Montag complex? Experts think you’ve gone overboard with Botox, fillers, and lip injections!

Megan you showed up to the premiere of yourbox office bomb Jonah Hex displaying a very different looking face and experts think you’ve had work done! We broke down your shocking new look to try and figure out just what you’ve done! Take a look and see if it’snatural beauty or a little medical help that is keeping Megan gorgeous.

  1. Lips: It is clear that Megan’s lips are much, much bigger than they used to be and she’s lost the pretty bow in her top lip due to new engorgement ! Dr. Sharon Giese, a plastic surgeon in New York City told us, “Megan had her lips over injected, that is the biggest thing.” Dr. Jennifer Walden, another New York City plastic surgeon agrees noting Megan appears to have, “soft tissue fillers in her lips.”
  2. Botox: Beverly Hills plastic surgeon Dr. Ashkan Ghavami thinks the starlet has definitely had Botox. “She’s definitely getting Botox and a lot of it,” he said. “Around her eyes and near her eyebrows to keep that smoothness she had four years ago. It’s making her look waxy. She has that frozen look from Botox.” Dr. Walden agrees saying it, “appears she has undergone Botox injections to her forehead and crow’s feet to give it that smooth appearance.”
  3. Cheeks: Almost all the surgeons we spoke with agreed Megan has had her cheeks filled. “Her cheeks have been enhanced, maybe with a filler like Radiesse, Juvederm, or Restylane,” says Dr.Bruce Katz of the Juva Skin and Laser Center in Manhattan. Dr. Steven Pearlman, a NYC plastic surgeon notes the actress has, “jumped on the facial filler bandwagon. Her cheeks appear fuller and more round.” Dr. Katz claims that this procedure in particular is becoming very popular with women in their twenties!

What do you think HollywoodLifers? Do you agree with the experts or think this is just the result of aging?

Bethenny Frankel and Omarosa, the Gloves Come OFF!

Wow, I came across this story today on PerezHilton.com and it's a doozie! Of course it is all "he said, she said" business, so keep that in mind, but it is rare that stars air out the laundry between each other. So, what am I talking about you ask? Here is the scoop....

Apparently, The Real Housewives of New York cast member and celebrity nutritionist, Bethenny Frankel was on The View last week and had some not so nice things to say about Celebrity Apprentice contestant Omarosa. Basically, she said that Omarosa was simply "famous for being famous" and that she was only still in the limelight for being "infamously mean". Ms. Frankel went on to say how unlike Omarosa, she was a popular "brand" which is responsible for 2 New York Times Best Sellers, her line of "Skinny Girl" drinks, etc. For the most part, whether she intended the comments to be or not, she came off sounding pretty condescending. What does this have to do with plastic surgery? WELL, (ps. this post is cracking me UP!) after all the mud slinging on The View you KNOW Omarosa is not going to take something like that lying down. Omarosa took to The Joy Behar Show to give her rebuttal...and in true Omarosa style she did NOT hold back. Most of what she said was silly and no need to even repeat, BUT what I did find interesting was she said that "everyone knows" Ms. Frankel got a tummy tuck following her C-section last month. Bethenny has been in the news a lot lately because the reality star has lost 29 pounds in 30 days in which she describes as "hard work, eating right, and exercise". Many have speculated that in addition to her "hard work" plastic surgery probably played a roll in her quick slim down. Regardless if she did have a tummy tuck or not, I think she looks great for just having a baby!

I think these ladies should stick to my motto of "Keepin' it Classy" and just drop the back and forth. No one wins in this sort of situation.

Happy Monday!

After weeks of working and having basically no time to go out and get dressed! up! I finally was given the opportunity for my town's heritage day (which is, incidentally, today, therefore I'm wearing this outfit as I type). I decided to play it safe because of the weather (which is so humid it's on the verge of thundershowers) and wear my tutu with as many layers I could have possibly integrated without melting like witches in Oz. Clearly I didn't get very far!

Moving on - I really do hope to update this here blog more often than I have in the past month. I don't know if I will fully comply to this self-proclaimed affirmation until about July 1st though. Which is also known as the day I move from here and into my TORONTO HOUSE. I don't even want to think about it right now however, for then I will be reminded of the two and half weeks of waiting I must suffer through until that wonderful day. UGH I CAN NOT WAIT.

Back to heritage festivities now.

All thrifted with the exception of the tutu and socks, both from H&M.

WAIT ONE MORE THING. See this? I'm dying my hair this colour in a few weeks. (Then back to pink possibly? We'll see). I doubt you even know what colour her hair is because you're so hypnotized by the beautiful thing on her back; Miu Miu AND Comme des Garcons. This is literally a masterpiece.

Anywho. Later days.

Real Housewife Ramona Singer Says No Surgery

By now I'm sure all of you loyal blog followers are aware of my number 1 fan status of the Real Housewives of New York City.

In case you haven't watched the Reunion show yet off your DVRs here is a non-spoiler from what you missed off the first episode trilogy special.

Last night Ramona Singer vocalized that she does NOT get plastic surgery, only injectables which she said was "not plastic surgery, everyone gets injectables."

Well you got that one right, Ramonacoaster, everyone whos anyone gets injectables.

Cant wait for my new favorite housewife Sonja Morgan to break into the special. And by favorite I mean favorite after Bethenny and Jill-villian, because my fingers are still crossed that these 2 frienemies make up.

She's BACK!

This weekend Kate Gosselin graced our TV screens once again. TLC aired the first of many "specials" featuring Kate and the many Gosselin children. Although I wasn't one of the MILLIONS that tuned in, surprising everyone the numbers went through the roof. The Gosselin's were ratings gold last fall when the incredibly tense episodes aired discussing the painful split of John and Kate Gosselin. This split not only ended the show "Jon and Kate Plus 8", but it sparked a nasty court battle between Jon and the television network TLC. Much to the joy of the American public Jon and TLC were able to come to an agreement and the show "Kate Plus 8" is going to continue.

We have discussed Kate Gosselin many, many times on the blog....it seems we have watched her transform right before our eyes. She really has changed from a frumpy housewife to a very beautiful and put together woman. Kate has been very open from the beginning about her tummy tuck after the birth of her sextuplets. It has been rumored that she also underwent a breast augmentation/mastopexy. I have seen so many pictures of Ms. Gosselin lately between her new show coming out and her stint on "Dancing with the Stars", and she looks great! It is amazing how much better she looks without her old haircut. It also appears that she may have had some botox and other possible injections. In the past we have blogged about her famous "11's"....in recent pictures they look to have been corrected, most likely by Botox. Kate's skin also appears extremely youthful and even. This is likely from skin treatments such a chemical peels or lasers. I'm sure to keep her skin in great shape after these treatments she is faithful to a good skin regimen. Great quality skin products will give you the most longevity to any facial treatment.

We all know that looking great after a bad break-up is the BEST revenge....I say Kate is on the right track to some GREAT revenge! Keep it up Kate! :)

Designer D-Cups

Women have been augmenting their breasts for decades and despite the fact that we still like to make a big deal when a celebrity is found out to have implants, it has become almost a rite of passage in the Hollywood sect to "volumize" at a certain age if puberty didn't get the job done. What we have not seen up to this point, other than Madonna in concert attire, was celebrities enhancing their breasts on top of their clothes through designer detail.

In this picture of Charlize Theron (at the Oscars nonetheless!) Vera Wang gave the actress breasts in the form of lavender flower petals. Was she trying to ensure her "headlights" wouldn't go on if the room was chilly? I can't think of any other reason for such detail to be added to an otherwise beautiful gown. Charlize is not alone in this interesting trend. In the picture below, taken from the current issue of US Weekly, you can see young Hollywood embracing fashion boobies in a wide variety of styles

The beauty of a trend is that it doesn't last a very long time. A one season wonder is usually the time frame in which a style goes from hot to not. Hopefully this one won't make it past the Fourth of July! I doubt the breast implant companies are losing sleep over their new competition in the market place. It won't be long before breast augmentation returns to inside the body where it belongs.

Latest methods of fat removal- fad or fact?

A lot of people are trying to lose weight and get into shape. Some of them are grossly obese and as a result suffer from physical effects like joint pain, reduced mobility, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, hypertension etc. . These people are looking to lose weight in tune of 20-40 kilos or more. Some others are moderately overweight and want to have good figure by losing 5-7 kilos. Some others are not overweight but have problem areas like bulging tummy , flabby arms or heavy thighs. They want to lose weight specifically in some parts. Then there are those who are very fit, hit the gym and take healthy diet- but still do not have enviable muscular physique. And last but not the least are women who are unable to get into their favorite clothes, after having a baby.

There is no one weight loss solution for all these people . Most commonly people try dieting and exercise half heartedly, do not get the desired result and lose hope. Some blame the genetics, long working hours or hormonal problems and give up. But being overweight affects their self esteem, confidence and health. This is when they start looking for options where they can lose weight without any effort from their side.

Various options are available in market for weight loss and inch loss. But actually there are very few that really work or can be proven scientifically. Lets go through each of them and find out the truth.

1. Massages and steam: Neither massage nor can steam help you melt fat. Only one to lose weight is the masseur.

2. Heating pads and vibrating belts: There is no scientific basis in these methods. Application of heat to skin may increase the blood circulation to the part or may make you sweat and get dehydrated and thus lose few hundred grams of weight( water). But it certainly not known to reduce fat or increase metabolism.

3. External ultrasound or radiofrequency application to the skin: This is a nonsurgical technology wherein ultrasound energy is applied to fatty area . These waves can penetrate upto 1 cm below the skin level and are said to break down fat under the skin. It has not been proven what really happens to the fat .Are the cells broken down permanently or the cells are intact and only the fat come out of the cell. Where does the fat go then? Is it not absorbed back by the body? There is no study to prove that blood levels of fat increase after this procedure, which should happen if fat is really being broken down and then being carried to liver for metabolism. The waves penetrate to just below the skin –so obviously they can not work when the fatty layer is several cms thick .These technologies are classic examples of manufacturing companies’ eagerness to hype and sell a product without proper research .

4. Liposuction: Liposuction and its various avatars like VASER and smartlipo are surgical techniques to remove fat from localized body parts. This is done under general or local anaesthesia and fat is actually taken out of body with a suction machine. Moderate amount of liposuction upto 5-7% of body weight ( 7 kilos in hundred kilo person) from 1-3 selected body parts in a sitting is safe and scientifically proven to be effective. But does it benefit everybody? The answer is no. Liposuction works best and is permanent for those people who are determined to maintain their weight with healthy diet and exercise. Even though the fat cells are removed from liposuctioned part , the remaining fat cells of the area and other body parts can store fat if lifestyle is not changed. Very obese( 30-50 kgs overweight) can not lose all the weight by liposuction alone. Without balanced diet and exercise the fat lost by liposuction may come back in next couple of months. If one is trying to lose weight for health reason like blood pressure, diabetes and heart problems liposuction is not the ideal solution. Unless one makes appropriate lifestyle changes, he/she does not get health benefits of weight loss. Liposuction is ideal for those who are already on balanced diet and exercise program , but are stuck with resistant areas of fat like love handles, double chin , tummy, hip etc. Liposuction in moderation is great and permanent but expecting 20-50 kilos of weight- all by liposuction alone- is unrealistic and impractical.

5. Bariatric surgery: Bariatric surgery acts on the stomach and intestines. Various types of bariatric surgery procedures are available to reduce stomach size and intestine size. After this surgery person can not eat much or absorb much and ends up losing most of extra weight in next 1-2 years. During this time he/she heeds to maintain proper nutrition under dietician’s supervision and also exercise to maintain muscle and bones. Bariatric surgery is not for moderately overweight people(BMI less than 35), because of low risk benefit ratio in this group. For people with BMI above 35 or grossly obese who suffer from other weight related health problems bariatric surgery is worthwhile . Can one gain the weight back after bariatric surgery- yes , unless one changes to healthier lifestyle.

6. Diet and exercise: This is mentioned last, because it is common sense. Everyone in their heart knows this is the healthiest , safest , permanent ,cheapest and most sure shot method of losing weight. But modern lifestyle, busy schedules and easy availability of rich food makes it very difficult . Yet there is no escape from it. One has to take limited , balanced diet and has to be physically active to maintain the result of weight loss surgeries. There are certain situations though where diet and exercise does not help. Heavy female breasts, male breasts, love handles, saddle bags and fat around the waist are commonly found even in otherwise normal weight fit individuals and in women after pregnancies. Loose skin does not go with exercise nor does exercise and diet help in spot reduction. All of these problems are beyond the scope of diet and exercise and need plastic surgical procedures for correction.

a thought on La Jetee

if you’re a photography major like me and you ever doubt the credibility of your program and what they make photography out to be, please watch this and trust in everything that lies outside of these educational based contrived claims. tell them that there is beauty in simplistic photographs such as these, those with a raw purity, those bare yet full of expression. a moment stopped in the eye of a lens, immutable, lingering forever through mutable reality - these are the photographs that make hearts feel pleasurable pain, like a warm emptiness realizing these easy moments have come and gone. they are once, always were once, will continue to be once, until death tears us from time and space like life tears a child from its’ mother’s womb. moment after moment after moment, never repeating, never returning. the only manner in which we may return, aside from a subconscious reawakening, is through the photograph. we recall each moment, let it be a tedious one or a dismal one or a glorious one, as a moment of our past caught in the web of present. one of the most beautiful things are these photographs, where a moment you will never relive or be able to replicate is shown to you in all it’s simplistic glory, just as you remembered it.

i get tired of people telling me that photography should be dramatic and salient and obvious and look! at! me! because i don’t think that’s what it necessarily should be. it should be all about moments. naked photographs are just as striking in it’s subtlety.

a moment in an ordinary life. no other kind of photographs matter.

Too Big For Tennis

Simona Halep may not be a household name but this Romanian teen tennis player has a lot in common with many American teens, and women of all ages for that matter. In the summer of 2009 Simona's breasts seemed to get more attention on the court than her backhand. She had developed into a 34DD and the player went on record numerous times stating the weight of her breasts interfered with her ability to move around the court. She was very open about her desire to have breast reduction surgery and I am sure part of that wish stemmed from the jokes made about her in the media. All it takes is one google search to find endless "how does she not have black eyes" comments and for a teenage girl this can be detrimental to her self esteem.

Last summer Simona followed through with her decision and she recently made her post breast reduction debut at the French Open. She looks so much lighter and more athletic post surgery. She must feel like she is flying around the court with all that weight literally lifted off her chest. I hope she is as happy with the results as I am. Her tennis game is sure to improve and more importantly her self esteem. Teen athletes are often forced to grow up quickly, but at the end of the day they struggle with the same issues as do all other adolescents. The added competitive pressures and media attention only adds to the difficulty of this awkward time.

Simona is a great role model for any woman struggling with athletic limitations due to the size of their breasts. I have seen time and time again women losing a great deal of weight after having breast reduction surgery. I think the surgery itself serves as a motivator and the increased athletic ability post operatively allows people to follow through. I wish Simona all the best with her tennis and personal life, and hope she takes a little time out to be a regular teenager. After all, you only get to be 18 once...

Tips for safe recovery after large volume liposuction

Liposuction of fat more than 5 percent of person’s body weight is referred to as large volume liposuction. This term is used to differentiate it from small volume liposuction which is much simpler and safer. Smaller volumes of fat can be removed under local tumescent anaesthesia , without hospitalization with minimal blood loss. Large volume liposuction on the other hand requires much more preparation, hospitalization and recovery time. If you are well prepared you can get the best out of your liposuction .

Preparation for large volume liposuction:

Healthy diet before liposuction: Your nutritional status determines the healing capacity. A lot of obese people are actually iron and vitamin deficient, especially if they have been on crash diets. You should start taking Iron and multivitamin supplementation and avoid crash diets 1-2 months before planned liposuction. Diet control should be done under supervision of qualified dietician.

See the plastic surgeon early: It helps to consult the plastic surgeon 3 months in advance. This will help in assessment of your general health. If any problem like anaemia or hypothyroidism are detected they need to be treated adequately before you can have the liposuction. This can take time- so plan in advance

Reveal your complete medical history to the plastic surgeon: For your total safety under anaesthesia it is absolutely necessary that the doctor knows about all your current or past medical and surgical history. Keeping secrets from your doctor can prove dangerous.

Discuss all your medication and supplements with doctor: Do not take any medications and supplements in the month preceding liposuction without discussing with your plastic surgeon. Certain health supplements sold in gym, weight loss medicine, birth control pills, common painkillers – all these need to be stopped 2-3 weeks before surgery. Certform also about your allerain other medicines interact with anaesthetic drugs and anaesthetist must know about them.

Prepare for 2 weeks of rest time after liposuction: After large volume liposuction, body takes a couple of weeks to recover from its effects. Giddiness , aches and pain are maximum during first week and gradually come down during second week.

Have someone to help you at home after liposuction: during first week after liposuction you will need someone to take care of your and your family’s needs.

Stage the liposuction: It makes sense to not just limit the amount of fat removal in one sitting but also the number of areas from which you get the fat removed. Try to limit the liposuctioned areas to 1 or two areas at a time. Do not push the surgeon to remove fat from all over your body. It will make your recovery too painful. Keep at least 2 months time between two sittings to recover fully.

Choose the right surgeon : An experienced plastic surgeon and anaesthetist team makes a safe large volume liposuction possible.

Choose the right hospital facility: Large volume liposuction should be performed only in hospital setting where postoperative monitoring and emergency care( I.C.U.) is available. 24 hrs availability of anaesthetist to deal with any emergency situation is mandatory.
